Student Internships –
Are you a creative, motivated South Australian University/TAFE student or recent graduate looking to gain real-world experience in web design, digital marketing, or branding? Reward Design occasionally provides internship opportunities for individuals who are passionate about growing their skills within our supportive, and professional environment.
Reward Design is a small, boutique agency with a close-knit team that values collaboration, creativity, and strong relationships — both within our studio and with our loyal clients.
A meaningful Internship should benefit both you and us
At Reward Design, we believe internships should be a two-way street. While interns gain hands-on experience and industry exposure, we also value the fresh ideas, energy, and perspective they bring to our team. It’s about learning, contributing, and growing — together.
We don’t put interns in a corner and forget about them. You’ll be working alongside us, actively contributing to real projects for both our agency and our clients. From day one, you’ll be part of the creative process — collaborating, problem-solving, and seeing how professional design and digital marketing work in the real world.
At Reward Design, we’re only interested interns who are eager to learn, take initiative, and show a genuine interest in website design, development, SEO, and digital marketing. Whether you’re studying graphic design, communications, IT, or business, we value interns who can think creatively, work independently and collaboratively, and contribute to real client projects.
Our ideal intern is:
- Curious and open to feedback
- Reliable and committed to deadlines
- A clear communicator, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with a strong eye for design or content
- Comfortable working with tools like Adobe Creative Suite
- WordPress (preferred, but not essential)
Depending on your skills and interests, your internship could involve:
- Website content creation and updates
- Assisting in web design mockups and layout planning
- SEO keyword research and on-page optimisation
- Social media content planning and publishing
- Email marketing and campaign support
- Client brand audits and competitor analysis
You’ll gain exposure to real client projects and receive mentoring from our experienced team. We treat our interns like team members — your ideas will be heard, and your contribution will matter.
Interning with Reward Design is a valuable opportunity to apply your classroom learning in a real-world digital agency environment. We aim for you to gain practical experience that strengthens your resume, builds your portfolio, and helps you develop the confidence needed for a career in digital, design, or marketing.
We offer flexible hours, hybrid work options, and a positive, collaborative team culture based in South Australia.
This is an on-site internship based at our Unley office in Adelaide, offering valuable hands-on experience working directly with our creative team.
Please note:
- This is an unpaid internship opportunity designed for learning and professional development.
- Interns are required to bring their own laptop, pre-installed with the Adobe Creative Suite or relevant design/marketing software.
- Basic proficiency in tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign is expected, depending on your area of focus.
- Strong English reading, writing, and comprehension skills are essential for following briefs, communicating with the team, and producing professional content.
- The arrangement is casual and flexible, with a preference for one day per week.
- The internship runs for a maximum of 3 months.
- If the placement is not a good fit, we will advise you accordingly — there is no implied offer of employment or commitment to providing a reference at the end of the internship
We value a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to take creative initiative. This is an ideal opportunity for students or graduates looking to build their portfolio and gain practical industry experience in a professional studio setting.
Yes, you’re volunteering your time to get experience — but at least you’re not racking up more HECS debt for a piece of paper and questionable skills that employers barely glance at. This is your chance to gain the real-world skills your degree ignores but every job seems to expect.
